Azelaic Peel treatments are available in Gauteng at the Morningside, Parkhurst, Rosebank, Bedfordview, Fourways, West Rand, Irene, Lynnwood and Brooklyn clinics, as well as in the Western Cape at Cape Quarter, Claremont, Constantia, Century City, Stellenbosch, Paarl and Willowbridge clinics, and Kwa-Zulu Natal at the Ballito, Durban and Umhlanga clinics.
The following conditions are indicated for this peel:
- Individuals who have acne and epidermal hyperpigmentation
- Oily skin with enlarged pores and
- Patient who are prone to congestion and breakouts
- Patients with superficial (epidermal) pigmentation or PIH
- Patients with Rosacea
- Patients with sensitive skins who are in need of exfoliation but cannot handle the more aggressive peels
Depending on the condition being treated and the severity thereof, a patient may require anything from 6 to 8 treatments to start off with.
Thereafter, the skin needs to be re-assessed and if needed, a second course of treatments is prescribed. Once the condition is under control and initial results achieved, it is necessary to be on a maintenance plan to maintain the results and to ensure that the condition does not return.
Immediately after the peel, the skin may appear quite pink (in most cases this calms down very quickly) and in some cases, the skin may feel “itchy”.
Within about 3 days, you may start to flake for about 2-4 days (in most cases there is almost no visible flaking or peeling with the Azelaic Peel). This peel may be repeated every two weeks over a twelve week period for optimum results.
The Azelaic peel is excellent for all skin types.
This peel rejuvenates skin, producing beautiful results in treating mild to severe acne, and epidermal hyper-pigmentation.
Peeling the face, neck, back and upper chest is also quite effective with the Azelaic Acid Peel.
