Sonnette looks and feels good, but at age 16 was raped and fell pregnant which has a haunting presence over her. She kept her beautiful baby girl, who encouraged Sonnette to enter Mooimaak, so she could forgive herself and have a platform to share her story and offer assistance to other women who have, or are going through, similar trauma. Throughout the Mooimaak transformation, Sonnette realised a lot of her own potential and how her story can assist, and support other women. As a result, she will complete a mentoring and life coach course in 2019, and will be joining a "Life Line" service to offer support to other women and girls!

Sonnette's Treatments

Sonnette's Mooimaak journey was led by Dr André Truter, with additional treatments performed by therapist Elke Kritzinger. Sonnette had an intensive treatment plan, over a course of 14 weeks, to improve her skin condition which presented with deep wrinkles, excess fatty tissue, and a sallow and dull complexion due to years of smoking and neglect. Sonnette also lost 12kgs on the Medical Weight Loss program, which not only changed her body shape but facial features allowing Dr André to further sculpt and lift her youthful appearance.

Medical Weight Loss and Ceccarelli

The Medical Weight Loss is an HCG based program which treats the cause of obesity, the resistance to leptin. CO2 Laser Rejuvenation

The CO2 fractional laser treatment was used to specifically target Sonette’s severe sun damage, deep wrinkles and sallow complexion by removing the outer layers of dead and damaged skin. Due to the extent of damage, Sonette had two CO2 sessions on her face, neck, décolleté and hands, with the purpose of collagen production stimulation for improved appearance of wrinkles, scarring and overall skin health. This is an intensive laser treatment with 7-10 days downtime, but stunning results!

Carboxytherapy

Carboxytherapy is the use of medical grade carbon dioxide gas which is injected superficially into the skin to render the treated area as ‘oxygen deprived’. The body reacts by increasing blood flow to the treated area carrying oxygen, nutrients and growth factors in abundance. This results in a rejuvenated skin appearance, with a tightening and lifting effect.
