Annie Delport

Annie lives in Simon’s Town and works as a tour guide. She absolutely loves being outside and in nature, but also has an attraction to historical buildings and visiting art galleries. Annie says: “I love to dress up, but often feel dispirited, because I feel I just can’t stop and reverse my evident ageing”. “I live and eat healthily and I’m young in body and spirit. I am a very positive person! It is just my face, ageing skin and wrinkles that get me down. I am hoping the Mooimaak journey will help me: that my husband stays in love with me and that the guests on my tours don’t think I’m too old!

Annie's Treatments

Annie’s Mooimaak journey was led by Dr André Truter, with additional treatments performed by therapist Bernice Cause over a period of three months. The focus of her treatments was to improve her ageing eye area, which presented with pronounced crow’s feet, hooded eyelids, and reversing signs of a sun damaged skin.

Vampire Facial (Dermapen® with PRP)

The Vampire Facial combines skin needling (for controlled micro-injuries) with targeted ‘liquid gold’ PRP injections, which is extracted from the patient’s own blood. This treatment offers minimal downtime and prolonged benefits for the skin including refined texture, reduced fine lines and wrinkles and collagen stimulation.

Jett Plasma Eye Rejuvenation

Jett Plasma promotes skin tightening and collagen production around the sensitive eye area. This medical device is the first patented direct current electrocauter in the world, and the treatment is based on an electrical discharge. Annie had a single Jett Plasma treatment, which combined with PRP injections and laser therapies worked to rejuvenating her eye area!

CO2 Fractional Laser

The CO2 fractional laser treatment was used to specifically target Annie’s deep wrinkles, by removing the outer layers of dead and damaged skin. The purpose is collagen stimulation for improved appearance of lines, wrinkles, scarring and sun damage. This is an intensive laser treatment with 7-10 days downtime, but stunning results!

"The treatment is slightly sensitive when needling over bony areas. My skin was swollen and red for 3 days after, but as the swelling disappeared I could start to see a smoother skin with less prominent wrinkles!"

Dermapen®

Skin needling allows for controlled induction of the skin's self-repair mechanism by creating micro \"injuries\" in the skin which triggers new collagen synthesis. The result is smoother, firmer and younger looking skin. A fantastic treatment for all skin types especially when treating acne scarring, enlarged pores and moderate to severe wrinkling.
