Yvonne Nell

Yvonne grew up in a children’s home in George, and experienced a lot of disappointment after two adoptions fell through. After matriculating she moved to Cape Town and received nursing training and qualification at the Tygerberg and Red Cross Children’s hospital. Yvonne’s biggest passion is animals, and in 2015 she started a cat sterilisation project in her home town of Barrydale. She also supports the local young woman with through her ‘Something Feminine’ project, which provides sanitation products to girls in need. She is very protective of her own husband and two daughters, and as a result of her upbringing honesty and respect are very important values to her. Yvonne wishes to feel beautiful and be confident in her own skin, without being self-conscious about her appearance.

Yvonne's Treatments

Yvonne’s Mooimaak journey was led by Dr Graham Duncombe, with additional treatments performed by therapist Liza Schoeman over a period of three months. The focus of her treatment plan was to improve deep seated acne scars, wrinkles and severe volume loss. Through customised treatments we were able to give Yvonne a new found comfort in her own skin!

PRP (Platelet Rich Plasma) Mesotherapy

For Yvonne Dr Graham combined the PRP mesotherapy injections with her Fraxel® DUAL treatments. PRP is concentrated plasma, obtained from spinning the patient’s own blood through a double centrifugation process. This allowed for enhanced penetration, superior results and overall skin stimulation, healing and restoration.

3D Rhinoplasty: Non-Surgical Nose Rejuvenation

3D Rhinoplasty is the latest non-surgical alternative to surgical rhinoplasty and involves injecting hyaluronic acid together with a specially designed PDO thread, the Broom, along the nasal bridge. This technique allows Dr Graham to straighten, shape and enhance Yvonne’s nose and improve her profile.

Acne scar reduction by subcision

Subcision is a simple and safe office surgery procedure for really deep acne scars that leave depressions in the skin. Skin in the affected area is separated from the scar tissue and this allows the skin to grow more level and improve the appearance of scarring.
