Phathiswa Somlata

Phathiswa Somlata was born and raised in Stellenbosch, though her roots trace back to Idutywa in the Eastern Cape. Her passion for the skincare and wellness industry was ignited during an open day at Swartland High School in Malmesbury, and this pivotal moment led her to pursue further studies at Dermatech Health and Skincare Institution, where she earned a two-year diploma and attained her SAAHSP, ITEC, and CIDESCO qualifications in 2011.

In 2012, Phathiswa embarked on an exciting journey with Steiner, working on luxury cruise ships. Her talent and dedication quickly shone through, and within her first contract, she was recognised and promoted to senior therapist in just five months. She completed two contracts with Steiner, gaining invaluable experience along the way.

After welcoming her baby boy in 2014, Phathiswa returned to South Africa with a renewed determination. She continued to advance her career in prestigious five-star hotel spas, showcasing her expertise and leadership skills. Her journey led her to the role of assistant manager at an aesthetic clinic, where she was later promoted to manager.

Phathiswa's sights are set on a new chapter with the renowned Skin Renewal family. She is thrilled to embrace her new role as co-leader and concierge at the Stellenbosch branch, where she looks forward to contributing her wealth of knowledge and passion to this esteemed establishment.
